# Quality Checklist

Use this before accepting the final map.

## Route
- [ ] Start is at bottom
- [ ] Destination is at top
- [ ] Sequence is correct
- [ ] Road is wide
- [ ] Road sweeps on a STRONG DIAGONAL corner-to-corner (NOT straight/vertical/centered)
- [ ] Map fills the full width of the page — NO side text column or checkpoint table on the poster
- [ ] Checkpoint cards are spread on BOTH sides of the road
- [ ] Main highway is labeled
- [ ] Checkpoints are directly attached to road
- [ ] Cumulative km values are visible

## Side-of-road
- [ ] LEFT/RIGHT means actual travel-relative side, not just visual placement
- [ ] LEFT/RIGHT and same/opposite are NOT correlated with page placement
- [ ] Sides & distances were actually verified (NOT every stop left "SIDE NOT VERIFIED")
- [ ] Same-side stops are preferred
- [ ] Unverified side is not invented

## Verified before plotting
- [ ] Chargers (primary + backup) verified by search, not invented
- [ ] Hotels are real, well-reviewed, and near the route (real names + ratings)
- [ ] Food stops are real and verifiable
- [ ] Checkpoints are in correct geographic order and position for the real route
- [ ] Nearby landmarks shown are real and genuinely near that checkpoint
- [ ] Nothing on the map is imagined / decorative-only

## EV
- [ ] Charger power is verified
- [ ] Primary late-route charger is highlighted
- [ ] Backup charger is shown
- [ ] No unnecessary early charging is forced
- [ ] Live availability caveat is respected

## Visual
- [ ] Map uses most of the A4 page
- [ ] Header is compact
- [ ] Footer is compact
- [ ] Route color differs from start color
- [ ] Flags are visible
- [ ] Text is readable
- [ ] Scenery supports the map instead of hiding it
- [ ] No large empty areas


## Opposite-side / U-turn
- [ ] Opposite-side stops are explicitly marked
- [ ] U-turn marker appears ONLY on verified opposite-side stops (never on same-side)
- [ ] U-turn badge is visible where needed
- [ ] U-turn distance is local-only, not cumulative trip distance
- [ ] U-turn distance is verified from Google Maps or clearly marked unverified
- [ ] Same-side stops are still preferred over opposite-side stops

## Deliverable
- [ ] Text source-of-truth block is included with the image
- [ ] Verification-mode chip shown (verified from Google Maps vs unverified) on map and in text block
- [ ] Table km / sides / U-turn distances match the confirmed Google Maps route
- [ ] Unverified items are marked, not guessed
